BERLIN, 04.03.2026 — Hubject, the global leader in eMobility interoperability, and Windrose Technology, a leading zero-emission long-haul truck manufacturer, have announced a strategic partnership to bring secure, automated Plug&Charge authentication to Windrose's electric trucks as they deploy across global megawatt charging networks.

The partnership gives truck drivers a simpler, more reliable charging experience and gives fleet managers the visibility and control they need to run efficient, large scale electric operations. For the broader market, the partnership signals continued momentum toward interoperable, standards-driven heavy-duty electrification.

Through ISO 15118-20, Windrose trucks will support:

  • Automated Plug&Charge authentication, with charging initiating securely upon connection without RFID cards or mobile applications
  • Megawatt Charging System (MCS) readiness, supporting the ultra-high-power charging essential for long-haul logistics
  • End-to-end encrypted communication, built on a robust Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Streamlined fleet operations, with automated contract handling and simplified billing across interoperable charging networks

Hubject provides the PKI and certificate management services that enable secure Plug&Charge communication across multiple charging networks worldwide, transforming a technical protocol into practical market enablement. As commercial vehicle charging infrastructure expands globally, this standards-based approach keeps networks connected and accessible for long-haul fleets operating across borders, while creating the foundation for future capabilities including smart charging optimization and bidirectional energy services.

"Commercial freight represents one of the most important opportunities in the transition to zero-emission transport. This partnership with Windrose brings Plug&Charge to long-haul trucks, giving fleet operators the automated, secure authentication they need to reduce downtime, simplify operations and keep their fleets moving," said Christian Hahn, CEO of Hubject.

“At Windrose, we are building electric trucks not only for zero emissions, but for seamless global operations. Plug&Charge under ISO 15118-20 is a critical enabler for long-haul electrification, where uptime, security, and cross-border interoperability are essential.

By partnering with Hubject, we are ensuring that our trucks integrate securely and seamlessly into global megawatt charging networks, giving fleet operators a charging experience that is as reliable and scalable as their diesel operations today.” said Wen Han, Founder and CEO of Windrose Technology

By combining vehicle innovation with secure digital infrastructure, Windrose and Hubject are advancing the next phase of scalable zero-emission transport worldwide.
