Amsterdam, August 24, 2023: GreenFlux, a DKV Mobility Group company, announced today the successful implementation of Hubject’s Plug&Charge technology onto its platform. The deployment marks a crucial step in the eMobility platform provider’s pursuit to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility and make EV driving accessible to all.
GreenFlux empowers charge point operators (CPOs) and eMobility service providers (EMSPs) to scale their operations with its cloud-based, hardware-agnostic EV charging solutions.
With the successful implementation and tests with hardware and car manufacturers, GreenFlux is now ready to deploy the Plug&Charge feature to its CPO platform customers. CPO customers can offer the feature to their clients once the charge stations are updated with the latest firmware and the required list of certificates is in place.
GreenFlux expects to scale up the certification of more hardware manufacturers and OEMs to apply Plug&Charge on a large scale as soon as possible.
‘With the addition of Hubject's Plug&Charge technology, GreenFlux takes another step towards promoting renewable transportation at scale,’ stated Suthalan Gnanes, ManagingDirector and Chief Commercial Officer. ‘This integration demonstrates our commitment to providing the best EV charging experience for our customers and our commitment towards sustainable mobility.’
Christian Hahn, CEO Hubject GmbH, added: ‘We are very proud to work with such a committed partner asGreenFlux. This gives the industry another push in the right direction, relying on more secure and customer-friendly solutions than before.’
GreenFlux’s Plug&Charge functionality is based on the ISO15118 protocol, which allows a fully automated charging process. By partnering with Hubject, each of the software provider’s CPO customers can roll out the Plug&Charge feature once their charge stations are updated with the latest firmware. Once updated, EV drivers using charge stations of these CPOs can directly pay for their charging sessions without using app-based payment methods, RFID charge cards, or credit cards. With Plug&Charge, the authentication begins as soon as the drivers connect their vehicle to a charge station.
Hubject simplifies the charging of electric vehicles. Through its eRoaming platform intercharge the eMobility specialist connects Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and eMobilityService Providers (EMPs)to provide standardised access to charging infrastructure regardless of any network. Hubject has established the world's largest cross-provider charging network for electric vehicles by connecting CPO networks encompassing over 600,000 connected charging points and more than2,000 B2B partners across 60 countries and four continents.
GreenFlux pursues a future where wind and sun charge every vehicle. Since 2011, GreenFlux has empowered charge point operators and mobility service providers to help drivers transition to electric mobility and to operate an efficient, sustainable business. The GreenFlux platform enables customers to manage EV charging operations at scale, optimise revenue, extend network access, and offer outstanding driver experiences. GreenFlux is part of the DKV MobilityGroup.
