Berlin 18.05.2026: Hubject, the global leader in eMobility interoperability, and Smappee, a Belgian technology company specialising in energy management and smart EV charging, have announced a partnership connecting Smappee's network of public EV chargers to Hubject's intercharge eRoaming platform across Europe.

Smappee has connectedall public charge points managed by their CPO to intercharge, making them accessible to the full intercharge partner network and the eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs) operating within it. The partnership gives Smappee's customers immediate access to Hubject's global eRoaming ecosystem, while opening Smappee's Europe charge points to a broad base of intercharge-connected eMSP customers.

Founded in 2012 by Stefan Grosjean and headquartered in Harelbeke, Belgium, Smappee develops and operates intelligent charging hardware and software for home, business, and public use. Its product range spans AC and DC charging solutions. Smappee serves a broad customer base across fleet, logistics, leasing, parking, and real estate, with a strong footprint in Europe, the US, Australia, and the Middle East.

"Smappee brings a combination that is relatively rare in this market: their own hardware, their own software platform, and their own CPO backend. Connecting a partner of that depth to intercharge strengthens the ecosystem across multiple dimensions, and adds meaningful density to the European network for every partner already connected." said Christian Hahn, CEO of Hubject.

“Our customers expect simplicity and access wherever they operate. By connecting to Hubject’s intercharge platform, we give them immediate reach across a vast European network, while opening our network of public charger infrastructure to new users. This is a key step in scaling our presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where interoperability is a must-have, not a nice-to-have.” said Stefan Grosjean, CEO of Smappee.

With this partnership in place, Smappee's charging network joins an open, interoperable eRoaming ecosystem that connects over 3,500 B2B partners worldwide, reinforcing Smappee's position within one of the most connected EV charging markets in Europe
