BERLIN, September 14, 2026. Hubject, the global leader in eMobility interoperability, and Chery Energy, part of Chery Holding, today announced a partnership to advance commercial EV charging across Europe, and potentially beyond. The partnership will bring Hubject's eMobility interoperability expertise together with Chery Energy's growing activity in new energy and charging infrastructure, supporting commercial fleet operators as electrification accelerates across the region.
As commercial fleets across Europe move toward electrification, interoperable charging is becoming increasingly important for fleet operators. At IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Chery Energy launched its European Partner & Pilot City Network initiative, announced by Dr. Hang Yin, Executive Deputy General Manager of Chery Energy, with plans to pursue in-depth cooperation with local European partners to advance the large-scale deployment of energy infrastructure across Europe.
Chery Energy (Anhui Chery Energy Ecological Technology Co., Ltd.) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chery Group specializing in the development of clean-energy ecosystems. Focused on the new-energy-vehicle industrial ecosystem and centered on energy storage and charging products, the company provides industry clients with one-stop comprehensive energy solutions covering wind, solar, ammonia, energy storage and charging, as well as zero-carbon-oriented industrial park solutions.
"Commercial fleets have fundamentally different charging requirements than passenger vehicles and addressing them well will determine how quickly fleet operators electrify. Chery Energy's growing presence in new energy technology makes this a partnership worth building now, while commercial fleet electrification is still taking shape," said Christian Hahn, CEO of Hubject.
Hubject and Chery Energy will continue discussions on how the partnership can support the broader commercial vehicle charging landscape in Europe, with further details to follow as plans develop.
