Two LA-Based Companies Work to End Electric Vehicle Charging Challenges

SANTA MONICA, CALIF. (November 13, 2018) – Hubject, the globally recognized leader in electric vehicle (EV) interoperability, has partnered with MOEV, Inc., an EV charger and cloud-based energy management software provider. The two companies will work together to offer seamless charging to EV drivers.“We are thrilled to be partnering with MOEV,” said Paul Glenney, North American CEO of Hubject. “Both of us are working on innovative, consumer-friendly answers to EV charging challenges, making them a great fit for the Hubject community.” With this partnership, the two companies will integrate their respective platforms and offer consumers a full-service charging resource. Among MOEV’s many developments is an innovative quad charger that charges the batteries of four electric vehicles simultaneously using only a single electrical circuit. This groundbreaking solution utilizes an artificial intelligence algorithm to ensure each of the four vehicles has the charge they need when they need it. This dramatically reduces the cost of installation and expensive electrical upgrades, allowing businesses to maximize their charging offering with minimal infrastructure.Hubject’s platform, called intercharge, enables EV drivers to easily find, access and pay for charging stations from various charging networks with one account, one card, one app, and one bill. With intercharge, an EV owner can utilize a MOEV quad charging station at several locations in California including La Kretz Innovation Campus in downtown Los Angeles. Both companies’ technologies are incredibly cost-effective solutions to businesses and consumers alike.“We are thrilled to collaborate with Hubject and be a part of their interoperability platform,” said Dr. Rajit Gadh, Scientific Advisor at MOEV. “Inclusion on such a widely adopted platform such as Hubject is a great added value to EV drivers, making charging easy to find and use, further enabling our comprehensive solution that supports our long-term vision of creating an electrified nation.”Hubject and MOEV, a member of the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), will be featured exhibitors at this week’s LA CoMotion, an urban mobility festival and leadership conference that brings together stakeholders from every facet of the new mobility industry. On Friday, November 16, Hubject will host a workshop for attendees titled “Jumpstarting eMobility – enhancing EV charging customer experience.”Please find more press material here
