Technical Manager – IT Services (m/f/x)

Hubject is seeking an experienced, mid-level, Technical Project Manager to join our Southern California team and help manage and implement projects based on our products and services addressing the electric vehicle market space. You will be a part of an energetic, fast-paced company in the eMobility sector and work closely with key account managers, the product team (located in Europe), and the US-based marketing and sales team as a technical bridge.

We are looking for someone who is a strong communicator between technical and non-technical personnel with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams both internally and with clients. The candidate understands SaaS and cloud-based products and will focus on implementing our products and services with clients with support from our internal product and development team.

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software or technical project management with client interaction
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant field, Master’s degree desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (German language a plus)
  • Outstanding project and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Basic understanding of IT architecture concepts, IT deployment mechanisms and APIs /interfaces
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time

The ideal profile of this new team member would include

  • Tech lover: Knowledge in IT architecture and IT processes as well as experience in software development, interest in technological trends such as electric mobility services. Knowledge in PKIs and IT security is a plus.
  • Broad vision: Experience in data science and user experience design is a plus
  • Fast thinker: Quick comprehension and understanding of complex interrelationships (between systems and client needs and products)

  • Project management and implementation of our IT products and services with our B2B customers
  • Interface and work with our service and maintenance vendors related to our products and services
  • Familiarity with our IT products in customer communication
  • Plan and define the scope of projects with the key account manager and client
  • Develop project schedules, tasks, time estimating, monitoring and reporting progress
  • Explain technical instructions and complex solutions concisely
  • Collaborate closely with key account managers
  • Prepare and analyze technical reports and documentation
  • Estimate costs, develop budgets and resource planning
  • Support technical sales and marketing initiatives
  • Potentially, responsibilities for the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
